In a recent staff meeting, Tulsa Dream Center Chaplain Wendell Hope shared these words:
“All it takes is someone who cares – Someone who is bold enough to do what nobody else will.”
That’s exactly why we came to 46th St. North in Tulsa just over 20 years ago: to bring a spirit of Christ-like boldness and kindness to a community in need of healing and hope.
During the first few days in April, we served Gracie, Francisco, Thierry, Jorge, Cheryl, Shauwn, Mark, and many others. And last year alone, our clinic served more than 950 unique visitors.
Every single one of them came through our doors with physical needs looking for something. They also have deeper needs for peace, safety, and a sense of belonging.
And there’s something else behind every Cheryl and Shauwn – individual donors like you who are helping us restore or ignite their dreams.
Building a dream happens a brick at a time, or in a literal sense, a dollar at a time. Our budget is approaching $2 million per year and couldn’t happen without you.
Our capital campaigns for projects like a swimming pool tend to steal the spotlight, but meeting our monthly expenses to fund staff, and programming is a big deal, too.
That’s why our Dream Builders initiative to sign up recurring monthly givers becomes even more important as we plan FORE THE FUTURE.
So we’re inviting you to a party on Thursday, June 9, at Golf Suites in Jenks. Tickets are $100. Come dine, dream and hit the driving range with us from 6-9 pm.
Dream Center Executive Director Tim Newton will be there and we hope you will, too. Every long-distance drive that night is like launching a new dream for someone in need!
